someone might want to explain the concept of kosher to the jew...

every so often the jew and i will look at dogs available for adoption in the dc area. today was one of those days. the ruskie was at home and i was telling her about how we were doing this:

the gypsy [the ruskie] says screw the babies and puppies, we need to get a potbellied pig
the gypsy: she seems serious
the jew: omg
the jew: only her
the jew: tell her she can get her pig when she moves to houston
the jew: this is a kosher household
the jew: we only eat pork
the jew: not keep them in the house
the jew: ;-)

now, i'm no judaism expert by any means (unless sleeping with more than a handful of cute jewish girls count), but i'm pretty sure that there's something wrong with her definition of the word, yes?

tucker seriously wants a baby brother though. for real. i asked him.

The Ruskie cannot get a pig when she moves to Houston... a dog... sure...

That is SO the Jew. ;-)

i don't think the ruskie actually wants a pig. i just think she doesn't want a baby or puppy in the house.

and, that *is* so the jew. you should have seen her monday sitting on the counter while i was making cookies, staring at them, attempting to justify breaking passover for them. in the end, of course she jumped off the counter and took one. this is after i went to great lengths to prepare a completely passover friendly meal. how did she justify it? it was only one cookie and it was small so it didn't count :)

Of course it didn't count! :)

Mmm... cookies... makes me want to make some... what kind were they?

red velvet cookie sandwiches with chocolate-cream cheese filling.

the jew's question to me was "could you refuse those?!"

Holy cow, woman... a saint couldn't resist those...

I want that recipe! Or better yet... a cookie...

I am so hungry now... for COOKIES. And this opening night, we're NOT making them... we're making lil smokies and meatballs because our show is such a sausage fest (the only females are the stage managers and the AD)

i make cookies every week for the ruskie and the jew (mostly for the ruskie, though)...she's never really out of cookies in this house. it's the only thing i ever really see her eat.

hopefully i'm not spoiling her too much before she gets to houston :)
